本州、九州、琉球列島、台湾及び香港から記録があり、本州以南に広く分布するものと思われる。温帯域や亜熱帯域のクスノキやヤブニッケイの葉に生息する。

This species has been recorded from Honshu, Kyushu, the Ryukyu Islands, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, and is likely widely distributed south of Honshu. It inhabits the leaves of camphor trees [Lauraceae], including Cinnamomum camphora and C. yabunikkei, in the temperate and subtropical regions.
